Teacher and Staff Appreciation Lunch - Thursday, June 14
Every year, we show our appreciation to all the wonderful staff members of Sunnyside Elementary with a potluck lunch. On Thursday, June 14, let’s spoil the people who work with our children 10 months a year with appetizers, finger foods, side dishes, main dishes, and desserts of your choosing. Bring your dishes to the PAC room before 11:15 am, and pick up your empty containers in the PAC room at 2:30pm*Please sign up by June 11, so we can plan how much we need to purchase, at: www.volunteersignup.org/HLMR4?
Friday, June 15 is Sports Day! An entire day of games, sports and friendly competition. If you plan to attend, assist and cheer on the students, and would like to pre-order a lunch for yourself, we have added a special menu from The Chopped Leaf. Order deadline is June 8. Don't miss out! Please read the Sports Day Notice for more information. Online ordering can be done through the MunchaLunch site, on the "Fundraising Open!" tab, until June 8.

Fun Fair Raffle tickets - Each student received a booklet with 12 tickets to sell. The students did a great job selling hundreds of booklets. The raffle draw took place at the end of the FUN FAIR on June 1st. Three lucky individuals took home cash prizes, of $1000, $300, and $200!
All prizes were donated by Kevin Basran of Re/Max.

Kiss & Drop is a safe solution to our parking issues, and we need volunteers to keep it running. If you can spare 30 minutes in the morning, consider adding your name to the Online Volunteer Signup Sheet. Please be considerate of our teachers and staff members working at Sunnyside, and only use the upper parking lot.

The last PAC meeting of the school year will be held on Tuesday, June 12, at 6:00 PM, in the school library. At the meeting, there will be a motion put forward to propose amendments to the Bylaws of the Sunnyside Elementary School Parent Advisory Council. Printed copies of the proposed amendments are available at the school office, and in the PAC room. Please feel free to email us with any questions or concerns at email@example.com. The PAC AGM and PAC Elections for the 2018-19 school year will immediately follow the general meeting.
